Mortgage Rates are DOWN
Rates hover around 6%, and homebuyers are back in the market in time for prime home buying season.
Mortgage Applications are UP
A leading indicator of sales is mortgage applications. They jumped a whopping 7% last week, indicating that buyers are making offers.
Showings are UP
This is anecdotal, but we witnessed our first “stand in line” moment at a showing last week. It was a great price point for location, so not surprising that lots of people were interested, but still a surprise after this winter’s lull.
